The Tamoggemon Content team is honored to announce that we have been selected to run the prestigious Carnival of the Mobilists on the 20th of July 2009!

We have to thank the organizers for putting trust into this very young site, and hope to serve you all well and thereby fulfill their expectations for the years to come! We furthermore thank all submitters in advance and promise that we will do the best work possible!

Further information can be had in the host schedule linked below:
http://mobili.st/?page_id=144

P.S. In case anyone of you wonders what this is all about: the so-called Carnival of the Mobilists is a weekly event where a blog host is selected to present an overview of interesting mobile computing content posted in the last week.

People writing at online news services can contribute their posts via the URL above without any further ado. People wanting to host the Carnival must be of good standing in the mobile computing market and must furthermore prove their capabilities as an author by participating in the Carnival at least three times.

TamsIJungle now features Related Posts

Dear Readers,
we have just added a Related Posts feature to TamsPPC, TamsS60, TamsWMS and TamsIJungle. Once working correctly, the program will give you a list of posts related to a post when it is opened in detail view (aka by clicking on its title).

As the program has just been enabled, various quirks and flaws unfortunately can (and will) happen. We apologize for all issues in advance, and ask you to inform us of anything you may encounter by posting a comment to this post!

All the best
Tam Hanna

P.S. For all WordPress nuts: we are implementing this via YARPP, as it doesn’t require you to edit your theme…

IMPORTANT Schedule Change: Tam Hanna speaks 11am!

This announcement is very important for all those of you wishing to visit me at the Mobile Developer Days in Berlin! I do speak on the 12th - but there has been a small schedule change:

Instead of speaking around 1300pm, my new schedule is as follows:
Web browser integration into mobile device applications
12th October; 1100 am
This is a short look at how classic application developers can use the web browsers of their devices to gain an edge over the competition. Furthermore, expect a small bit of insight into Android…

Multi-player gaming on a single device
12th October; 1130 am
This second presentation will challenge everything you ever knew about multiplayer gaming from a mathematical standpoint. Palm OS devices had IR for ages, but there are next to no IR games…there must be a reason why these didn’t work out. I (claim to :-)) know it - visit my talk to find out more.

I look forward to seeing you all there! Slides and videos will be posted here tomorrow!

Information claiming that I speak tonight, 18pm is WRONG. I am not there at this time. The only speeches I hold are outlined in the post above!

New anti-spam system activated

Dear Readers,
due to increasing spam attacks, we have just activated a new anti-spam system on all Tamoggemon web sites. Due to our caching subsystems, it could take up to a few hours until the commenting functions become fully available again!

Please accept our apologies for the downtime

Welcome to TamsIJungle

Dear Readers,
our recent launches TamsPPC, TamsS60 and TamsWMS have paved the way for former TamsPalm readers who have chosen to abandon the (sinking) Palm OS ship. However, one uncharted field remains: iPhones.

We have contemplated launching such a site for a long time, as Apple is known to be litigious - but, being hosted in Austria, we feel that we can take the risk. Apple’s Austrian PR team is completely useless when it comes to supporting true tech journalists (not the kind of banquet party goers we all know and love)…

So: there’s little the folks with the Malus domestica fruit in their logo can do to kill this particular, Tamoggemon-branded worm biting their hide: we hope that you all will enjoy the content of TamsIJungle as much as your pals do at our other web sites!

Finally: should you ever have some feedback, please let us know ASAP! Commenting on TamsIJungle is free, and we don’t even collect IP addresses! Your data is safe with us!

All the best
Tam Hanna
