Now that the folks at the Moscone’s have leaked Apple’s likely WWDC date, rumors are starting to pour in. Here is an overview of the latest:

Next iPhone drops mid-2010, with 5MP camera
First up is the DigiTimes – a once well-known news service, whose credibility has recently suffered quite a bit due to a few embarrassing flukes. Nevertheless, I consider their report highly likely:

…The sources said OmniVision has secured 5-megapixel CIS orders for the next-generation iPhone model, which will hit shelves sometime during the second half of 2010.

Apple tablet coming
BusinessInsider goes a bit further by claiming the following:

Apple is preparing to show off a new, larger mobile device with a higher resolution display in January — probably a version of the Apple tablet we’ve been hearing about for months

Apple has been telling some app makers to prepare apps … as they build their apps to support full screen resolution — rather than a fixed 320×480 — their apps should run just fine,”

Given that there has been so much smoke about the thingy recently, I would be surprised if there is not a grain of truth in it – but I am definitely not going to speculate on tablet plans…
